    Some people say: "It is society that changes people", but my view is that people change society! The great physicist Albert Einstein said, "The value of a man should depend on what he contributes, not on what he achieves." So, the value of a person is in his or her contribution. At the same time, the people who will be best remembered by history are precisely those who have contributed to society.

Modern traffic has brought us convenience and comfort, but at the same time, it has also added to many problems and safety hazards. Every day, on the road, pedestrians and vehicles do not follow the traffic rules. For example, non-motorised vehicles cross the line at red lights, go against the traffic lane, carry people and objects illegally, and pedestrians do not walk on the pavement, cross the guardrail, or jaywalk through the motorway. These uncivilised traffic behaviours greatly affect the normal traffic order. Travel safety is not only a matter of your own safety, but also a reflection of respect for the lives of others, and an important factor in building a harmonious society.

In ancient times, the historian Sima Qian said, "There is a death in man, either lighter than a feather or heavier than a mountain." Whenever you leave for school or work, the first thing your parents say is to be safe on the road; when you come home late from school or work, your parents are most worried about your safety on the road. If you always keep safety in mind and obey the traffic rules, I believe it will make your parents less worries about you.

    If there were no traffic rules, a country would not have a good social image. If there are no traffic rules in a country, how can the people of that country hold their heads up in front of foreigners? When important people from other countries come to visit and see the chaos on the roads, will they have a good impression of the country? We cannot imagine how this country can stand proudly in the world in a modern society. It is clear that traffic rules represent the image of a country.

    As a responsible citizen, we should be physically active and set an example by taking practical actions. In our daily life, we should strictly abide by the traffic rules: we should read the traffic signals, stop at red lights and go at green lights, use pedestrian crossings, and not cross over the traffic guardrails; children under the age of 12 should not ride bicycles on the road; we should not play and frolic in groups on the road; we should wait for trains and buses in a civilised manner, we should line up in order; when riding in public vehicles.  When the vehicle is moving, pull the handrail, head and hands should not stick out of the window. Everyone should not only obey traffic regulations ourselves, but also criticise and discourage people who are found to have violated them in a timely manner.
